Tim - since we have a little more time, there are at least two documentations of temporal anomalies.
1) When Faraday lands on the island, he sets up an experiment where a clock on the island (on a stick) is synchronized and compared with the time on a clock in a small rocket fired from the freighter. The rocket arrives a bit later than expected, and the clocks don't match. Faraday is distressed. Island time is flowing faster than freighter time.
2) The helicopter carrying Desmond and Sayid back to the freighter is noted by Juliet to have not arrived after almost 24 hours. She comments that it should have taken about 20 minutes, and notes that Charlotte and Faraday are not surprised. Charlotte most condescendingly says 'should I wring my hands and perhaps shed a tear.' Dan starts to explain, Charlotte says 'let's not confuse them.' Dan begins his repeated "time is, well, relative." In helicopter and freighter time, arrival is on schedule. Again, the flow of time on the island is faster than off.

This is referenced several times, consistently one of the island's noted features, but never addressed. Just another bomb revealed but never exploded (ignoring a general literary rule.)

@Tim (#1) the temporal anomalies were empahasized going back to the constant, but like all else, what does it matter.

Interesting that during the re-airing of the Pilot last night, one of the reveals (?) was that Jacob and his brother had been on the island for "over 2000 years". I'm not sure if that's significant or not?

I'm glad the site will live on with some purpose. As long as you keep the RSS feed I'll still be following.

As to finding a publisher for this book you describe, perhaps you don't need a publisher? Barnes and Noble has a new program starting up where authors can submit material that will be available via BN's online programs (on nook, on their reader software, etc.). Check it out at http://www.barnesandnoble.com/pubit/

Great recap as usual. I'm with you, I think the off-island "reality" is going to be the real final reality in the end, and Jack will sink the island (the result we saw in LA-X) to somehow trap MIB there forever.

I'm curious about all the Egyptian stuff and how it got there, but in all honesty I don't think it's probably all that important to the end of the story, which is what tonight is all about. We know we're going to get a bunch more content on the Season 6 DVD and Blu-ray, so perhaps a bunch of stuff not answered tonight will be answered on the discs?

Like any good mystery, some things are best left unanswered. And I'm okay with that. I don't need EVERY little nitpick or plot twist answered in order to be able to look back on these past 6 years and say "Wow, that's the best thing I've ever seen on TV".

I'm noticing a complete change in Jack over the entire series and it made me think of something. At the end of season 5 Jack was determined to "set things right" reset the timeline and possible destroy the island. I get the sense that in the finale he is going to do anything he can to save the island time line and the island.

I just picture a scene similar to last season where he is talking with Kate and she said something about their memories of the island not being all bad and Jack saying "enough of them were" but this time the roles will be reversed and Jack wants to save the island and possibly reset or destroy the sideways reality??
